Take a look inside the biggest Muffin Break cafe in Australia!

Narelle and Phil are the franchise owners of this business at Lismore Square Shopping Centre, Lismore, and Narelle took us on a tour to show-off this fantastic store location and fit out.

"Hi, I'm Narelle,

I'm the franchisee for Muffin Break Lismore Square with my husband, Phil.

We're the biggest Muffin Break in Australia.

So come on in and I'll show you.

Counter Area

Okay, so now we've come through to our counter area, and our counters are really important because that's where our customers come in first, and they get attracted by our beautiful chiller and muffin cabinet.

And then they work out what great things they want to buy, and we go from there.

So then you've got your coffee machine, your drinks machine, and this is where our customers will either pick their goods up or we then take it into the dining area.

Serving / Point of Sale Area

Okay, so here we are at our serving area.

This is our point of sale system, and it gets installed for us, and we get trained on it.

So this is where the customers come along the front of the cabinet.

They work out what they want.

They can see here on this screen what they've ordered, when we enter it in. We have the drinks fridge behind.

Then we've got all of our microwave, convection oven and toaster in here.

So that's all nice and fast.

To be able to access it, we have a grab and go, which is picked up at the end of the counter there.

Or we then deliver it out to the customer after they've gone and sat down.

Dining Area

Okay, so now we've come into the dining area, and as I said before, we are the biggest Muffin Break in Australia.

And one of the reasons is because look at this beautiful dining area.

So we've got seating for 66 people. 

And the tables, we've made it so you can pull them apart, and so you can have two people sitting or four people.

You can actually move all of those banquet seating together, and it makes it a warm, inviting space.

So I think this is a good addition to any Muffin Break.

Coffee Machine

Okay, so this is our coffee machine area. So we have, April here is making coffee.

And so we make the coffee there. We have our cold drink station straight behind here. And it's self explanatory.

She's making a coffee at the moment that then gets put on the tray.

Lea's just taking that out to a customer now, and we've got the walkthrough doors here.

They go out and exit.

Back Area

Hi, now we're in the back of house area.

So here, this is where all of our cooking and food prep is done.

So we've got the oven here, then we've got the cooling racks, which have muffins and things on them. Phil's out here, icing our muffins.

Then we've got our cleaning area.

And behind we've got a big storage area, storeroom.

And we have fridges down here, dishwasher over there, so it's really just - it’s very compact.

Phil gets stuck out here a lot - We don't let him out very much either.
