Nautical Bowls Acai into Australia! with CEO Peter Taunton


US-based brand Nautical Bowls has opened its first handful of stores in the Australian market.

We spoke to Co-Founder Peter Taunton, who came out to be part of the launch. Peter has previously bought 3 other brands to Australia, Snap Fitness, 9 Round and Fitness Direct.

Meal Replacement Product

"What I love about the product and what I'm so fond about this brand is the relevance of it in the marketplace in today's day and age when people are looking to lead active, healthy lifestyles.

It starts with this product. Plant based, dairy free, gluten free, soy free, made with organic, all natural ingredients.

It's right in the wheelhouse for what people are looking for, the product that looks beautiful.

It's not dessert, it's a meal replacement.

And that's another thing. Some people have it in the morning for breakfast, some have it mid morning snack after their workout, some have it for lunch, some people mid morning or mid afternoon, and some people have it for dinner.

Brand Growth

It's going fantastic. We have lofty goals and for us, in the last two and a half years, we've awarded 192 territories, we've opened 62 stores.

We have about 17 stores in the process of being open here in the next seven, eight weeks.

So we're off to a great start.

Appeal of the Australian Market

I've always been a big fan of Australia.

This is my fourth brand that I will have launched into Australia. One of my previous brands, Snap Fitness, 9Round, Fitness On Demand.

I love the lifestyle that the people of Australia live, which is why this product fits right so well with this lifestyle.

So that's why I expect great things of this brand in Australia, because it's right in the wheelhouse of how they live their everyday lives.

Well, look, I think success in any business is you've got to get up every day and fight the good fight.
