Success Tutoring franchise business Q & A
Michael Black, Founder of Success Tutoring, joined us for a brief chat at the Melbourne Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo, April 2022.
We covered some of the key aspects of the franchise business including the type of people that are best suited, any common misconceptions about the brand or industry, as well as advice or guidance for anyone looking to get into business for themselves, and more…
What is your business?
"Success Tutoring, we are a tutoring provider for students from kindergarten to year 12. And we provide tutoring in all subjects.
Where are you located?
We're located in Sydney.
Currently, our head office is in Sydney and we've got locations in Sydney and in Melbourne.
What do you love about the business and what you do?
Success tutoring is all about motivating, inspiring, and uplifting students to reach their full potential.
The best thing I love about Success Tutoring, and starting the organisation is being able to impact the lives of future generations and in creating a positive impact in their future.
What do you look for in the right-fit person to be a franchise owner?
The first thing we look for is someone that is passionate about education and wants to make a difference in the lives of students.
So someone that isn't just looking at the monetary aspect of running a business, but also that passion and that drive to make and make a change in someone's life and create a positive impact in their future.
What’s a common misconception you believe people have about your brand or niche?
I think with tutoring, people immediately think of education. But what we do is do much more than education.
We motivate, inspire and uplift students to reach their full potential.
We create and nourish and develop growth and a growth mindset for students to believe in themselves and believe in what they're capable of doing.
So it's not just tutoring and providing education, but it's also more than that. It's changing someone's life for the future and for the better.
What would be your advice for people looking to get into their own business?
Someone that is passionate about the industry that they're in firstly, and secondly, something that matches their career objectives and long-term goals for themselves and their family.
What is your key focus for the next 12-18 months?
We're looking at franchise expansion across Australia."
