Covid crisis, not necessarily a barrier to expansion - for Plumbing Bros.
With the vast majority of franchise brands ceasing franchise sales almost entirely, Plumbing Bros. pushed ahead with success.
Perth based, innovative plumbing franchise, Plumbing Bros., has recently brought on board their first Victorian franchise partner.
Company founder, James Riddle, was excited with the development, “Let’s face it, these are very challenging times for many, so we are even more excited to be growing in it.”
The new franchise partner comes from the building industry, “John, builds new homes and developments and wants to add a plumbing arm to his business. So our model is a great fit for that set-up.”
Recognising and adapting in the current climate, James and John worked closely to walk the deal through this final stage during the covid crisis period. “You can’t ignore what is happening, but people are still trading, and importantly, preparing for the re-boot following. And that’s what our offer does for him.”
The issue of helping a ‘new’ business (albeit, a part of an existing one) to get moving during challenging market conditions, was top of mind according to James. “To assist with cashflow in this period, we decided to defer 50% of the franchise cost over a number of months to allow a smoother, stable base in that part of his business.”
The company’s franchise offer is very much centred on attracting non-plumbing industry candidates. Referring to the business as a ‘Five-star business opportunity’, Best described, Plumbing Bros. is a plumbing franchise opportunity, where being a plumbing is not required.
James explains, that the model is “...designed you to have an experienced, successful, Master Plumber on your local team that services your customers. By not being on the tools, this allows you the opportunity to build a lucrative and successful plumbing business, without you needing any experience whatsoever in plumbing.”
