I spoke with Ben Sheppard, GM, at the Brisbane Franchising Expo, and he filled us on a bunch of detail of about this growing brand out of the Sunshine Coast. 

Raw Energy is a health food cafe established in Coolum, on the Sunshine Coast 20 years ago. 

"The business is all about helping people to eat well and feel good", according to Ben.

It was founded by Geoff Campbell who grew the business organically with people loving the concept and idea, and regularly asking how they could be part of it. 

Matt Hope in 2008, who owns the brand, offered assistance to Geoff to grow the model in developing further systems, processes and support for growth through franchising. 

Raw Energy offers an ambience that is casual, vibrant and memorable to visit. People are relaxed, and are often on holidays sitting in-store and relaxing with a salad or smoothie. On the Sunshine Coast in particular, this sees them looking out over the beaches which is part of the iconic Raw Energy imagery often seen. 

Currently, with 12 stores, they pride themselves on collaboration with their franchise partners. Monthly visitation cycles and conferences 4 times a year with the network makes up the engagement and support model.
